I am so happy that I push this trip despite the protest that is happening in Hong Kong, China (SAR). In this 4 days and 3 night trip, I manage to visit 3 cities. It was a short time because I have personal and priorities that I need to finish as well. Either way I am going to share my itinerary, budget expenses, and some tips for this Tricity trip
Note: You are free to copy or modify my itinerary based on your trip.
In order for you to make this trip possible, you need to have a Chinese Visa to cross Shenzhen, China. You can read my post about my application: How to Apply Chinese Tourist Visa as a Student without Guarantor
I want to say that these cities are different, based on my observation, Hong Kong is more like a Shopping District, Macao is more about Resorts, Gambling, Bright Lights (also known as the Las Vegas of Asia), and Shenzhen is more about electronics. Each city offers amazing things that should be checked out.
If you are wondering if it is safe to travel in Hong Kong right now. The answer is YES!. The protesters schedule their protest and on the streets, there are some marks left. Like this one, there is vandalism in front of my Accommodation. Just be cautious and safe.

TIPS and SUGGESTIONS
- Bring extra cash, Hong Kong and Macao is not cheap. You can budget your expenses on those countries.
- Get your money exchange in Chungking Mansions, their rate is same as google.
- Download Google Translate, most people you will encounter does not speak in English.
- MTR Mobile App for subways in Hong Kong and Download Subway Map in Shenzhen.
- Google Maps, especially for Macao, their main transportation is Bus, and google maps will tell you what bus you should take in order for you to go to your destination.
- Bring food or snacks if your terminal is Terminal 2 in Manila International Airport. I want to recommend this Chocolate Cake (Sugar Free) by Indulge Sweet PH. You can look their other desert on their instagram.
This is my first time doing a Tricity trip and I thought that I would not make it because I only Have 4 days for this trip but I'm wrong. I am so happy that this trip happened. I want to do this kind of trip again. Is there any Tricity trip that I need to try? I am planning to do a Indochina Trip (Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam). Comment down your suggestions.
